Assignment: Digital Reconstruction of an existing building

Brief: The task was to reconstruct an existing building using digital software, namely Autocad and Autodesk’s 3D studio Max. The purpose of the exercice was to develop a workflow that can be applied in the development of any architectural project: starting from the drawing of the plans in Autocad to the 3D modelling in 3D Studio Max from those plans. The final step was to try to recreate existing photos through computer generated renderings. The atmosphere and general feel of these was important as they needed to appear as real as possible, serving as preparation for renderings of future unbuilt projects that need to convey a true image of the final product.
The exercice also served as practice for 3D animations using Lumion.
